Hwang In Youp is a South Korean actor and singer managed by KeyEast Entertainment. He graduated from Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School in Davao, Philippines, where he went by his English name Ryan Leon. His dream was to become a fashion designer. In Yeop started out in the entertainment industry as a fashion model in 2017. Reports state that he was once also under YG KPlus, a model management company under YG Entertainment.

Hwang had completed mandatory military service before auditioning for a modeling career. He made his acting debut in 2018 with the lead role in Webdrama “W.H.Y”. He rose to fame through his breakthrough role as Han Seo Jun in True Beauty where he also sang one of the Drama's OSTs called "It starts Today / 오늘부터 시작인걸 "
